K.C. is 16 months old in these photos. He has taken his first steps, but we find that he's still getting comfortable with his balance as he walks while holding on for support. Unfortunately, he finds himself with a buckle fracture in the ulna and radius (bones that connect to the wrist). The fracture is the result of catching himself during a fall. He's getting along with his cast OK, and his spirits are good even though you see some pictures where he's frowning (that's his new way to have fun).
